I’m sat munching my way through a quick snack! Mash potatoes with tuna!. . followed by a chunk of shortbread. . .delicious!. . .
A mate of mines just asked me a question ‘How do we tell someone about GOD, who isn’t asking!. . .
When I read & re-read the question I grinned!. . .
You see, my mates question is seriously one of the top questions of the decade!. . .’Ugh!’. . .I hear you ask!. . .
let me explain. . .
This ‘One simple question’ holds the answer to ‘life’. . .
If we were to slightly, re-phrase the question that he asked, & put it this way . .
“How can I tell someone who’s not interested in anything to do with GOD. . .
about all the awesome stuff that GOD, does in EVERY believers life!”,
“How can I tell someone who isn’t looking for GOD. . .
about HIS son JESUS & the amazing sacrifice HE made!”. . .
I thought for a moment wanting to say something really clever and astounding in response to the original question!. . .
But as I finished of my mash, my head began to hurt. . .I couldn’t think of anything seriously astounding to say. . .
& as the last scale of tuna vanished into the awaiting chasm, I realised that it is not with high and lofty words that we talk to others, about GOD. . .
It is with a ‘story!’. . Our story. . .
This is where it gets exciting!. . .
Because it doesn’t matter how good with words we are, this is where we get to share, exactly how the awesome power of GOD works. . . in changing/mending lives.
Each person who believes has history, where they were before they began to follow GOD. . .
Each person can ‘testify’ to the great things GOD has & is doing in their lives. . .
Each person knows of someone that they can share there life’s story with. . .
Each person can look for moments to share a ‘piece’ of their story with those that they care about, & want to spend eternity with. . .
My shortbreads just broke and a lumps now disintegrating into my coffee!. . .
Telling our story to those who are not looking for GOD, is a bit like my shortbread!
Don’t dunk a none believers head to deep into the things of GOD. . .
Let them, at their own pace dip their heads in. . .
& when the time comes, & they have tasted that r’ GOD is good, extremely ‘good. . .then they will want to break off and disintegrate fully into the ‘liquid of life. . .
Its great having a history. . .
and knowing that one day. . .
soon . . .
We will be with GOD & HIS son JESUS. . .
